| 1. P-1 Aカテゴリーは、個人的にまたはグループ・チームの一員として、特定の競技大会に参加するため一時的に渡米する、国際的に認知されたレベルの競技スキルのある運動競技者に適用される。 2. 個人の運動競技者に対する認定審査基準: i) 運動競技者の渡米目的は、競技者が高いレベルの成績をあげていることで国際的に認知されている個人のイベント、競技会又は実演への参加である。 ii) 通常より相当高度な技術があり且つ広く認知されていることで、複数の国で業績が知られていることが証明される。 3. 団体の運動競技者に対する認定審査基準: i) 渡米目的は申請する（競技）団体が団体種目に参加する ことである ii) 該当団体は必ず広く国際的に認知されていなければならない iii) 該当団体種目は国際的な認知度のある競技団体の参加を必要とする | 1. The P-1A classification applies if the athlete is coming to the United States temporarily to perform at a specific athletic competition individually or as part of a group or team, at an internationally recog-nized level of performance. 2. INDIVIDUAL ATHLETES ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA The athlete must be coming to the U.S. to participate in an individual event, competition or performance in which he/she is internationally recognized with a high level of achievement; evidenced by a degree of skill and recognition substantially above that ordinarily encountered so that the achievement is renowned, leading or well known in more than one country. 3. ATHLETIC TEAMS ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA The teams must be coming to the U.S. to participate in team events and must have achieved significant international recognition in the sport. The event in which the team is participating must be distinguished and require the participation of athletic teams of international recognition. |

| サポート要員とは、P-1A選手（チーム）がパフォーマンスを行うための不可欠な一員（すなわちコーチ、スカウト、トレーナー、その他のチームの役員、審判員など）であり、米国の労働者が容易にそのサポートサービスを行うことができないことを行う者をいう。この者は P-1ステータスに分類される。 | Essential Support Personnel who are an integral part of the performance of a P-1A athlete (team) (such as coaches, scouts, trainers and other team officials and referees) and who perform support services which cannot be readily performed by a U.S. worker, are eligible for P-1 classi-fication. |
