| 1)ビザ申請者は、学位、卒業証書、又は認定書を獲得するためのプログラム又は学習コースに入学を許可された全日制学生であること。 2）留学生を受け入れるために学校は米国政府から許可が必要である。 3) 学生は英語に習熟していなければならない、或は、英語に習熟するためのコースへの入学しなければならない。 4) 学生が、予定する学習コースの全期間中、自活するだけの十分な資金を備えていること。 5）学生は、海外に放棄意図のない居住地を維持すること 6) 学生は、訪問者ビザ或いは米ビザ免除制度を利用しないで渡米すること。 通信教育であっても米国キャンパスで一定期間教育を受ける場合にはM-1 ビザを取得する必要がある。 | 1) One must be enrolled as a full-time student in a program or course of study that culminates in a degree, diploma, or certificate. 2) The school must be authorized by the U.S. government to accept international students. 3) The student must be proficient in English or be enrolled in courses leading to English proficiency. 4) The student must have sufficient funds available for self-support during the entire proposed course of study. 5) The student must maintain a residence abroad which he/she has no intention of giving up. 6) Students cannot travel on the Visa Waiver Program or Visitor Visas: Even distance learning which requires a period of time on the institution’s U.S. campus requires an M-1 visa. |

SEVIS料金支払い済み領収書（書式I-901） 8. 進学準備の証明： 日本の学校が発行した成績証明書、卒業・学位証明書 9. 米国の学校が要求した共通テストの得点 学生の教育・生活、旅行費用を賄うだけの十分な財力があることの証明（出資者の（ⅰ）所得税申告書の認証コピー、（ⅱ）銀行・その他の収入または貯蓄証明書、（ⅲ））スポンサーとの関係性を示す証拠（例えば出生証明書）など。 | 1. | 1) 初回:書式I-20に記載された学習課程に応じた期間、滞在できる。 2) 新しいビザは、学習課程開始日の120日前から発行可能である。 但し、ビザ所持者は、Ｍ-1ビザでは、学習課程開始日の30日前までは米国に入国できない。 3) 学習を継続する学生は、学習課程開始前、いつでも米国に入国できる。 4) 学習を継続する学生は、学生の身分を保持し、且つSEVISの記録が最新である限り、いつでもビザを更新できる。 5) 書式I-20に記載されたプログラムの終了日以降、認可された実習を受けるため、学生は米国からの出国を60日間猶予される。 | 1) Initial: Depending on the course of study indicated in the Form I-20. 2) New visas can be issued up to 120 days in advance of the course of study start date. But the visa holder will not be allowed to enter the U.S. on an M-1 status earlier than 30 days before such start date. 3) Continuing students may enter the U.S. at any time before their classes begin. 4) Continuing students may renew their visas at any time as long as they have maintained student status and their SEVIS records are current. 5) Beyond the program end date listed on Form I-20, and any authorized practical training, a student has 60 more days to depart the U.S. |
